About two weeks after Kyzer had his blood drawn, Dr. Greiwe called to give the results over the phone. I was thankful for being able to get copies from the Patient Portal as well. 'Cause...it's a lot to take in. These results will bore most of you. I know, though, some Allergy Mamas out there will appreciate to see the results. I'm not the person to explain these results to you. There's lots of numbers going on here, but what I can tell you is that HE IS ANAPHYLATIC TO PEANUTS.
The bottom picture shows is test results for tree nuts. Based on these numbers, his allergist was confident that Kyzer could challenge these in his office if the skin test proved negative. Check out the hazelnut number of 5.48. This number is in the HIGH range. This explains the reason I was a nervous wreck allowing Kyzer to challenge hazelnuts. I was nervous to allow him to challenge almonds too since he did have a positive skin test for almonds when he was 4. This was the first time in his life that he had ever had blood work done for his food allergies. His previous allergist never even suggested it.
